Bea Nahon

Board Member

Bea is originally from Portland, but she will more likely tell you that she grew up between Laurelhurst Park and Mt. Tabor Park, and then moved across the street from Bridlemile’s Hamilton Park. Neighborhoods and parks are near and dear in Portland – and so it’s no surprise that nearly 30 years ago, Kirkland was the obvious best choice for her family with its unique neighborhoods and parks.

A loyal UW graduate, Bea’s a CPA and a principal at the firm of Sweeney Conrad PS in Kirkland, and in her personal life, Bea has always been a volunteer, as far back as she can remember. She’s a past president of the Washington Society of CPAs, a past board member of the American Institute of CPAs, and currently chairs the Washington CPA PAC. She was a charter member of the City of Kirkland’s Salary Commission and then served as its chair. She is the immediate past co-chair of the Kirkland Alliance of Neighborhoods, and a consistent advocate for all 14 of Kirkland’s incredible neighborhoods, and served on the Strategic Planning Review and Innovation Team for Hopelink. She’s also on the Board of Trustees for the Samis Foundation where she chairs its Experiential Education Committee.

In her free time, Bea loves spend time with her family, her dog and her grand-dogs, or you may find her walking around Kirkland enjoying seeing familiar faces and stopping to chat and catch up. She loves to travel and is a self-admitted foodie and theater junkie.
