Kirkland Nourishing Network Extended School Closure Donations

Thank you for making it possible for Kirkland Nourishing Network to provide grocery cards to food insecure students and their families during this unprecedented school closure! Through your generous donations, we’re providing grocery cards to these Kirkland families who would normally receive our donated food boxes before long school breaks.

Since the governor has mandated that school buildings remain closed through June, we’re distributing grocery cards until the end of the school year. To do that, we need your help! As this closure continues, so does the need. In the past few months, we’ve established new relationships with several counselors at schools we haven’t previously worked with. KNN is now providing grocery cards for all public elementary, middle and high schools in Kirkland that have indicated they have students in need.

This campaign‘s new goal of $90,000 will allow us to provide $50 grocery cards every three weeks to all of our targeted families (now more than 800!) through the end of the school year. If you can help, please donate through this site to help us provide grocery cards for families. Any size donation is appreciated.

Though KNN is a network of individuals and not a registered charity, Kirkland Community Foundation is partnering with us for this next phase of donations. Since KCF is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations made through this site are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and may be eligible for corporate matching gift programs.
