We Need Your Help! The Kirkland Community Foundation is hosting our second annual Ignite Kirkland community grant program — supporting dozens of nonprofit projects that all benefit Kirkland — and we need your help to allocate funds among the projects. Join our Youth Task Force and make an impact on your community!

Are you interested? Here are the participation requirements:

  • Current Kirkland resident
  • Ages 14–17 as of November 1, 2025
  • Available to participate in the one-day grant dispersal meeting in Kirkland on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4:30–6:30 PM (Dinner Included)
  • Have a genuine interest in helping local nonprofits reach their goals
  • Respect others' ideas and work well in teams to make group decisions

Extra Credit! Need volunteer service hours? Help distribute posters and postcards around town between October 28–31 to spread the word about Ignite Kirkland!

About Ignite Kirkland

Ignite Kirkland funds nonprofit organizations that strengthen Kirkland’s community across areas such as Arts & Culture, Community Connections, Learning & Innovation, Parks & Environment and Health & Housing.

Local nonprofits submitted dozens of project proposals this year, requesting more than $164,000 in total. The public will have a chance to donate to these projects during the campaign running November 10-24.

    Kirkland Community Foundation has long served as the hub for successful projects inititated by members of our community, including the Save Our Salmon mural and the Waverly Beach Picnic Shelter. Have an idea for a project? Please complete this form as an initial step in the process, and we'll be in touch!
