It's important to note that while we're happy to provide this information, KCF cannot provide professional tax or legal advice. For a comprehensive understanding of the implications of your gift in your specific circumstances, we strongly recommend consulting with your professional tax and legal advisors. Additionally, we encourage you to have open discussions with your family members when it comes to your philanthropic goals, enabling them to be part of the decision-making process and grasp the objectives of your estate giving plans.

Outright gifts

Gifts by Cash or Check

Checks may be payable to Kirkland Community Foundation. Please include the name of the fund supported; it can be indicated on the memo section, if appropriate. Please mail your gift to:

Make an Online Gift

One of the easiest ways to make a donation is by making a gift online to any of our funds by using your credit card.

Cash Wires or Transfers

Please call KCF at (425) 505-3348 with the name of the fund to be credited prior to transfer so that we can advise our bank. We will provide instructions with account number and contacts.

Matching gifts

Many local employers have generous matching gift programs. With these programs, you can double the impact of your gift by leveraging your employer’s match to KCF. Contact your human resources department for information about matching gift fund opportunities at your company. To look up KCF in your matching gifts database, use KCF’s Tax ID/EIN #46-4931717

Gifts of stock

Consider donating an appreciated asset as your gift. Stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other securities can all fuel the important work we do while providing you a significant tax benefit. Fill out our Stock Donation Notification form notifying us of your intention to give a stock gift. Once you fill out the form, you will receive information to give to your broker to complete the process.

Gifts from a donor-advised fund

If you have a donor-advised fund and wish to grant money to KCF, please use the donor portal for your financial institution. Our Federal ID number for identification purposes is 46-4931717. Thank you!

Gifts in wills and estate plans

Including a gift to KCF in your will or trust is a permanent statement of your values and enables you to create a meaningful legacy without impacting your current financial security. Find out about gifts in wills and estate plans here.

Give a gift in honor of someone special

Through KCF, you have the opportunity to honor a special person, mark a special occasion, or make a memorial gift while supporting the Kirkland community. After you make your gift, we will send a personalized card acknowledging your thoughtful donation to each honoree. Complete the donation form and include the name of the person you are honoring in the comments area. You can also add a brief note to be included in the card.
